Workington 5K Series Race 2
Workington 5 km race held on 10 June 2026 at Workington Cricket Club, Earnest Valentine Ground, The Cloffocks, Workington. The organiser notes there is no parking at the cricket club itself. Race numbers are issued at race registration within the cricket club.
This event is one of a four race summer 5 km series. The series dates are Wednesday 13 May, Wednesday 10 June, Wednesday 22 July and Wednesday 19 August. Entrants may sign up for one, two, three or all four races.
The course is officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers and will follow ROUTE B. A race permit and the measurement certificate will be displayed at event headquarters in accordance with UKA rules, together with a full course risk assessment and route maps.
A race safety briefing will be held prior to the start. First aid provision will be provided by 1st Aid Associates. There will be a lead bike and a sweeper runner on the course. Results are produced by Timing Up North using chip timing.
Prizes are awarded after each individual race to the first three male and female finishers. Series points are allocated to all finishers and prizes are presented at the end of the series in five year veteran age categories. Runners must complete three out of the four races to qualify for overall series prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
