Wooly Bully Races
The Wooly Bully Races are an annual running event on Amherst Island that raise funds for the Neilson Store Museum. Races are offered for youth and adults and take place at a new site on South Shore Road, west of the Stella 40 Foot Road, at a private residence. The course follows a scenic route along Lake Ontario and runs out and back, travelling west to east and back. The race site is approximately 4 kilometres from the Stella ferry dock.

Travel and parking arrangements include ferry access from the Millhaven dock to Amherst Island, two shuttle school buses to bring runners from the ferry to the race site, and two free parking options: the Amherst Ferry parking lot and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 623 (about an eight minute walk). Ferry parking is limited.
Registration details list fees and deadlines. Youth run fee is $13. 5K and 10K fees are $24 for KRRA members 18 and under, $51 for KRRA members 19 and older, and $56 for nonmembers; listed fees include handling charges. The deadline to order a race t-shirt is July 30 and registration closes on August 14.
Awards and series information: the Kids 1 KM receives custom ribbons. The 5K and 10K award overall top three female and male finishers, top three in each age category, and draw prizes. The race is Athletics Ontario sanctioned and awards series points for the KRRA Race Series and the Waterside Series medal for participants who complete the linked events.
