Wooly Bully Races
The Wooly Bully Races are an annual running event on Amherst Island, Loyalist, Ontario, held at a new site on South Shore Road west of the Stella 40 Foot Road. The event site includes parking and is located about 4 kilometres from the Stella ferry dock. The course runs west to east and back along South Shore Road, following a scenic route along Lake Ontario.

The event is part of the KRRA Race Series and the Kids 1-KM is included in the Kingston Kids Race Series. Series points for this race are 75 overall and 15 for the age category. The Wooly Bully Races are Athletics Ontario sanctioned.
Registration fees listed include youth entry for $13, KRRA member rates ($24 for 18 and under; $51 for 19 and older) and non-member rates of $56. A race t-shirt can be purchased during online registration; the deadline for t-shirt orders is July 30. Registration closes on Aug. 14.
Travel and logistics note that ferry access to Amherst Island is used by many participants. Parking before boarding the ferry is recommended; two shuttle school buses will transport runners from the ferry to the race. Two free parking options are the Amherst Ferry parking lot and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 623, the latter an approximate 8-minute walk to the ferry.
Awards include custom ribbons for Kids 1-KM participants, overall top-3 female and male awards for the 5K and 10K, age-category top-3 prizes, and draw prizes. Participants who complete the Napanee Heritage, Wolfe Island Classic, and Wooly Bully events receive a Waterside Series medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
