Event overview
The Kingston Road Runners Association is holding the Resolution Run in early January 2026. The event supports Lionhearts Inc., an organization that coordinates the donation of surplus food and other practical community support to local agencies in Eastern Ontario. The 8 km race is part of the KRRA series and the 4 km run is designated as a fun run.
Distances and eligibility
- 8 km - open to ages 12 and up; KRRA series points race.
- 4 km - fun run; open to ages 10 and up.
Course and logistics
The event is based at the Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Road, with the race start and finish a short walk away at RG Sinclair Public School, 19 Crerar Boulevard. The course is a 2 km out-and-back segment through the Reddendale area; that segment is run twice for the 8 km and once for the 4 km. Race kit pickup is available at the curling club and the club provides parking and a warm area. Awards for top three men and top three women will be presented at the curling club; there are no age-group medals. All finishers receive a finisher medal for this event. The race operates in all weather conditions and, for safety reasons, dogs and strollers are not permitted during the race. No race day registration will be offered. Registration fee is $50 with a $5 discount for KRRA members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
