Event Information
The Limestone Race Weekend is organized by the Kingston Road Runners Association in downtown Kingston. It takes place over a weekend in April and features several races across two days.
Available Distances
- Tommy Compton Memorial Run 2K (for kids)
- 5K race
- Waterfront 10K 10K race
- Historic Half Marathon Half Marathon (21.1K)
The 10K and 2K races are held on the first day at the west side parking lot of the Kingston Penitentiary. The 5K and half marathon races are held on the second day at Confederation Park, across from Kingston City Hall.
Registration and Gear
Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on April 22. No registrations are accepted after that time or on race day. Strollers and cyclists not affiliated with the event are not permitted. Runners who register by April 9 for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon receive a shirt. Half marathon finishers also receive a medal.
Awards and Prizes
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers for each distance (5K, 10K, half marathon). A $500 prize is offered for breaking the half marathon course record. Age category awards are available for all distances, with categories for male, female, and a newly added non-binary/open category for 2026.
Additional Details
The event is an all-volunteer community event. Proceeds are donated to local charities, including the Boys and Girls Club South East and the Start2Finish Running and Reading Program. A pre-race injury prevention and footwear seminar is hosted by a sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
