Limestone Race Weekend : Kingston, April 24–25, 2027
Limestone Race Weekend is a two-day, all-volunteer community running event in Kingston. It is part of the Kingston Road Runners Association (KRRA) race series and awards series points for select races.
Distances offered include:
- 2K kids run, maximum age 12
- 5K road race from Confederation Park
- 10K Waterfront route via Kingston Penitentiary and Waterfront Trail
- Half Marathon historic course including a segment through Kingston Penitentiary
Several courses pass through the Kingston Penitentiary grounds. The 10K route includes King Street West, the Providence Care Hospital roadway network and the Lakefront Trail with a turnaround inside Lake Ontario Park. The half marathon has three out-and-back water stations located near Portsmouth Olympic Harbour (4K), Lake Ontario Park (6K, with porta potties), and Harold Harvey Arena (9K); only water is available at these stations.
Timing is managed with chip timing and results are posted on race day via the event timing system. Awards are given for the top three female and top three male finishers in each race, plus top-three age-category prizes across specified age groups. A bonus is available for breaking the half marathon course record. Additional event and kit pickup details are provided to registrants.
