Limestone Race Weekend
Limestone Race Weekend is a two-day community running event held in Kingston on April 24–25, 2027. The event features multiple race distances that use city streets, park trails, and sections through the Kingston Penitentiary grounds.
Distances include:
- 2K Tom Compton Memorial Run for kids.
- 5K community race from Confederation Park.
- 10K Waterfront 10K using the penitentiary, King Street West, Olympic harbour ring road, Providence Care roadways, and the Lakefront Trail.
- Half Marathon Historic Half Marathon with a segment that passes through the Kingston Penitentiary yard and out onto King Street.
Age rules note that runners aged 13 and under are not eligible for the 10K, and runners aged 15 and under are not eligible for the Half Marathon. Race kit pickup is scheduled across the event weekend at the Kingston Penitentiary, Confederation Park, and a Friday location at the Kingston Marriott (subject to confirmation). Chip timing will be used and race results will be posted during the event and afterward.
There are three water-only stations on the half marathon out-and-back course, with one location offering porta potties. Awards and cash prizes are listed for top finishers across the races, and series points are awarded as part of the KRRA Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
