Limestone Race Weekend : Kingston, Ontario, April 25–26, 2026
Limestone Race Weekend is a two-day running event organized by the Kingston Road Runners Association in downtown Kingston. Multiple race distances are offered, with specific courses and start/finish locations used on Saturday and Sunday.
Distances offered
- 2K Tom Compton Memorial Run for kids
- 5K
- Waterfront 10K
- Historic Half Marathon
On Saturday the 2K and Waterfront 10K use the Kingston Penitentiary west side parking lot as the start/finish area. On Sunday the 5K and Historic Half Marathon start and finish at Confederation Park, across from Kingston City Hall. Routes include segments through the penitentiary grounds, King Street West, the Olympic Harbour ring road, the Waterfront Trail and a turnaround inside Lake Ontario Park. The half marathon also follows an out-and-back format with three water stations located at about 4 km, 6 km and 9 km; only water is provided at those stations and porta potties are available near the 6 km station.
Registration is online only, with a deadline in late April and no race day registrations. Registering by April 9 ensures receipt of a shirt for the 5K, 10K and half and a finisher medal for the half. The event does not issue refunds or deferrals. Strollers and non-affiliated cyclists are not permitted and may lead to disqualification.
Additional details: chip timing is used for start and finish and results are posted on race day. Age categories and gender categories include Non-Binary/Open. Cash prizes are offered for top finishers in the 5K, 10K and half marathon. Pacers are planned for the 5K, 10K and half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
