Woolley Trail Runs consists of three out and back races held along the Cascade Trail near Sedro Woolley, Washington. All courses run on a railroad grade gravel path and follow the same route east along the Cascade Trail. The course begins about a quarter of a mile west of the trail head off Fruitdale Road and SR 20. Parking is available near the Central United Methodist Church at 1012 Polte Road, across from the trail head.
The route has a slight uphill grade on the outbound leg and a corresponding downhill return. There are a few road crossings; there will be no crossing guards and runners must heed traffic. Aid is limited. Aid stations are located at the turnaround points and at mile 4, specifically at miles 6.6, 13.15, and 15.7. Participants should plan on carrying water and personal aid.
Drop bags may be left at the start on race morning and are allowed at all aid stations. Drop bags must be labeled with bib number, target aid station, and name. Unclaimed drop bags will be donated and will not be mailed. The course is not USATF certified and is not a Boston qualifying route, and it meets at least the advertised distances.
