Course and Distances

The Woolley Trail Runs feature three distances: a 50k, a Marathon, and a Half Marathon. All three courses follow an out-and-back format on a railroad-grade gravel path known as the Cascade Trail. The route includes a few road crossings without crossing guards.

Aid Stations and Self-Support

Aid stations are positioned at turnaround points (6.6 miles, 13.15 miles, 15.7 miles) and at mile 4. The event is described as having limited aid, and participants are advised to plan on carrying their own water and supplies.

Logistics and Start Times

The official start time is 9:00 AM, with an early start option at 8:00 AM for runners who anticipate needing more time. Those starting early are not eligible for awards. Drop bags are permitted and can be left at the start or sent to aid stations.

Venue and Parking

The event is located in Sedro Woolley, Washington. Parking is available at the Central United Methodist Church on Polte Road, across from the trailhead. The course starts a quarter-mile west of the trailhead off Fruitdale Road and State Route 20.

Important Notes

The course is not USATF certified and therefore cannot be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
