Course and aid
The course follows the Interurban trail toward Clayton Beach. The surface is mostly an old railroad bed with gravel and a tree canopy. Arroyo(s) Park includes about 3/4 mile of double-track trail with some bridges and short hills. The total elevation change for the course is approximately 300 feet. Participants are expected to be self-sufficient and carry their own water and aid. Aid station locations include a first station at about 3.5 miles off Chuckanut Crest Drive, a turnaround aid station at Larrabee State Park/Clayton Beach parking, and a start/finish aid station. Half marathoners have about three refill opportunities spaced roughly every 3 to 3.5 miles; marathoners have about seven. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, snacks and typical ultra-style foods.
Logistics and policies
Parking near the pavilion is limited; street parking is available near Fairhaven Middle School. Bathrooms at Fairhaven Park will be unlocked and the pavilion is heated. The race is dog friendly if dogs are kept on a leash and started toward the back. The organizer generally does not offer refunds but allows a one-time deferral or transfer to another event within a year; refunds or deferrals may be offered if the date changes or the event is cancelled.
