Last Chance Marathon and Half Marathon : Fairhaven Park, Bellingham, WA
The event is scheduled for December 31st 2026 in Fairhaven Park, Bellingham, Washington. Registration closes December 30th 2026. The published entry fee is $60 ($64.60 with fee) and a race shirt is available for $25 ($28.90 with tax and fee).
The course uses the Interurban Trail and runs out to Clayton Beach at Larrabee State Park. The half marathon is an out and back route; the full marathon follows the same out and back course twice. The trail is mostly an old railroad bed with a gravel surface and a tree canopy. Arroyo Park is a 3/4 mile section of double track trail with several small bridges and some hills. The organizer notes the course can have snow and stay cold under the canopy. Total elevation for the course is approximately 300 feet. The course may be changed if trail conditions require it.
Aid stations are limited; runners are advised to be self-sufficient and carry water. The first aid station is about 3.5 miles in, and aid is available at the turnaround and the start/finish. Aid stations list water, sports drink, soda, and snacks. The finish area offers hot drinks, hot soups with a vegan option, grilled cheese, and other food; the outside aid is mainly for full marathon participants.
Parking near the pavilion is limited and only in marked spots. Street parking is available near Fairhaven Middle School. The race is dog friendly; dogs must be leashed and runners with dogs are asked to start toward the back of the pack.
Refunds are not generally offered. A one-time deferral to the next year or credit toward another event within a year is allowed if requested before the event. If the event date changes, refunds or deferrals are offered according to the organizer's policy; cancellations may result in a refund or an entry for next year.
