Anacortes Santa Run
The event takes place in Anacortes, Washington at 601 Seafarers Way on December 12, 2026. It includes a community 5K run and a kids dash, with proceeds supporting the Anacortes High School Cross Country Team.
Two events are offered:
- 5K
- 800 yards (Kid’s Dash) for children up to 3rd grade
Every registered runner receives a full Santa suit. Children entered in the Kid’s Dash receive antlers, a race bib, a jumbo candy cane and a commemorative bracelet. Parents may run with the little ones.
Event features include a group start accompanied by Christmas carols, timing for results, finishers medals, and on-course refreshments such as cookies, coffee and hot cocoa. A prize of one gallon of eggnog is awarded to the first male and first female across the finish line. A timed challenge called Beat the Elves involves two elves who start five minutes after the main field.
Registration details are provided for each event: the Santa Run 5K has a registration fee of $39.00 and the Kid’s Dash fee is $16.50. There is a family discount of $5.00 off per runner when three or more runners are registered on the same account. Bib and Santa suit pickup is scheduled December 10 and 11 at the Anacortes Rockfish Grill beer garden, with a race day pickup option for out-of-area runners for a $3 fee.
The course is a flat 5K route around Cap Sante Marina. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
