Event Details
The Bulldog 5K Sleigh Ride Fun Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, December 19, 2026. It is a community event held at 2700 Martin Road in Mount Vernon, Washington. The event features two entries:
- Bulldog 5K Sleigh Ride Fun Run/Walk: A 5 km run/walk with a registration fee.
- Bulldog 5K Sleigh Ride-FOR CURRENT MVHS XC TEAM: A 5 km run/walk with no registration fee, intended for current Mount Vernon High School cross-country team members.
The course is a full 5 km loop around the Del Trail, located at Skagit Playfields. The trail is named for a long-time MVHS distance coach. All participants receive a T-shirt and a Santa's hat. A team of MVHS cross-country runners, dressed as "reindeer," leads the participants, who are "Santas," at the start. Ornament medals are awarded to top finishers in each age group. Water and hot drinks are provided after the race.
Registration check-in is available on the morning of the event. Proceeds benefit the Non-School District Mount Vernon Athletic Fund, specifically supporting runners attending a cross-country summer camp.
