Woodford Community Duathlon
Organised by McA Fitness at Woodford War Memorial Community Centre in Stockport, this event is described as welcoming and beginner-friendly. It is a community multisport meeting in Cheshire close to Stockport, Wilmslow and South Manchester and offers two race formats.
- Swim Bike Run: Run 2.4 km, Bike 11.5 km, Run 1.0 km
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 4.4 km, Bike 19.5 km, Run 2.4 km
Entries include a McA Series finisher medal, manual finish result, water and sweets at the finish, clearly signed run and bike routes, a safe transition area, a friendly race briefing, support for first-time athletes, and free on site parking.
Timing is manual only and results are based on official finish order; there is no chip timing. The run route is flat and accessible, the bike course is mostly flat with one short, challenging climb, and surfaces are smooth tarmac throughout. The transition area is compact and organised to be easy to navigate.
There is ample car parking on site and on nearby roads; on-site parking is requested to the left where possible. The site entrance has a height restriction of 2.1 m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
