Woodford Community Duathlon
The Woodford Community Duathlon is a community multisport event organised by McA Fitness at Woodford War Memorial Community Centre, Chester Rd, Woodford, Stockport, SK7 1PS. The event is scheduled for 20 December 2026 and offers two accessible race formats: a Swim Bike Run distance and a Sprint Duathlon.
Race distances include:
- Swim Bike Run: Run 1 2.4 km, Bike 11.5 km, Run 2 1 km
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 1 4.4 km, Bike 19.5 km, Run 2 2.4 km
Entries include a McA Series finisher medal, manual finish result, water and sweets at the finish, clearly signed run and bike routes, a safe and compact transition area, a friendly race briefing and support for first-time athletes. On-site parking is free; there is ample nearby roadside parking and an entrance height restriction of 2.1 m.
Timing is manual only with results based on official finish order; there is no chip timing. The course is described as flat and accessible for running, with a mostly flat bike course that includes one short climb. Surfaces are smooth tarmac throughout and the transition area is organised for ease of use. The event emphasises a community focused, low-cost format and is presented for a range of participants from first-time multisport athletes to club competitors.
