Woodford Community Duathlon
The Woodford Community Duathlon is a community multisport event organised by McA Fitness at Woodford War Memorial Community Centre, Chester Road, Woodford, Stockport SK7 1PS. The December 2025 edition was cancelled. The next listed race date is 12 July 2026.
Athletes can choose between two accessible race formats. Distances are:
- Swim Bike Run: Run 1 2.4km, Bike 11.5km, Run 2 1km
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 1 4.4km, Bike 19.5km, Run 2 2.4km
The event uses manual finish timing only. There is no chip timing and results are based on official finish order.
Entries include a McA Series finisher medal, a fully marshalled course, manual finish result, water and sweets at the finish, clearly signed run and bike routes, a safe transition area, a friendly race briefing and support for first-time athletes. Free on-site parking is available.
The course is described as flat and accessible for the run route, with a mostly flat bike course that includes one short, challenging climb. Surfaces are smooth tarmac and the transition area is compact and well organised. There is ample car parking on site and on nearby roads; when parking on site, competitors are asked to park to the left where possible. The site entrance has a height restriction of 2.1m.
