GOTR Advent Health Spring 2026 5K
Girls on the Run Western North Carolina presents the GOTR Advent Health Spring 2026 5K, a season-closing 5K celebration on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Tanger Asheville, 800 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC. The event is a celebratory closing for program participants and aims to give participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Program participants and coaches are already registered by the council and program participants receive a commemorative race medal. All registered participants receive an event t-shirt. Family members, friends and community members may also participate but must register separately.
The course length is 3.1 miles. The event is described as accessible for participants with disabilities, with designated accessible parking spots and options to walk, run, push or roll at individual pace. Each participant must wear a race bib and is paired with a running buddy for the duration of the course; a parent or guardian may serve as a running buddy.
Logistics include free onsite parking, an early packet pick up opportunity the day before at the Tanger Asheville food court, and day-of packet pick up in the registration area. The council will cancel the event only for thunder and lightning, unsafe driving conditions or other hazardous conditions; that decision would be made by 5:00 am the morning of the event.
