Event Overview
The Ville to Ville Relay is a team running event. The course travels 72 miles from Asheville, North Carolina, to Greenville, South Carolina, passing through the Appalachian foothills, local craft breweries, and small towns.
Event Details
This is the 9th annual edition of the event. Teams consist of 3 to 6 runners, all of whom must be 21 years or older. The total distance is divided into 12 legs, with individual legs ranging from 3 to 9 miles in length. Each team must provide its own vehicle to transport runners between designated transition areas along the route.
To complete the course in one day, teams must maintain an average pace of 11 minutes per mile or faster. The finish line celebration is at Hampton Station in Greenville, SC.
Registration and Team Information
The 2026 event is sold out. Interested participants can join an email list for future event information. There are several team categories, including Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, and Masters divisions for participants aged 40 and over.
A team captain is responsible for managing registration and communications. Team names can be changed until March 5, 2026. The event has a theme for 2026: Saturday Morning Cartoons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
