Ville to Ville Relay : April 11, 2026
The Ville to Ville Relay is a team running event from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC. The event covers a total distance of 72 miles and is described as traveling from the peaks to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains through local craft breweries and southern towns. The 2026 edition is the 9th annual event.
Race format, registration and rules
Teams consist of three to six runners who split the course into 12 legs ranging from 3-9 miles. Each team provides its own vehicle to drop off and pick up runners at designated transition areas. Teams finish at Hampton Station in Greenville, SC, where there is a post-race celebration with music, food, and craft brews.
The event is sold out and the waiting list is closed. Team registration requires a $300 deposit or an option to pay the full fee of $775. Teams that pay only the deposit must pay the remaining $475 by January 15, 2026, or they will lose their spot and non-refundable deposit. There is a 5.5% processing fee on online payments. Team rosters and final pace estimates are due by March 5, 2026.
Additional rules: all runners must be 21 or older; team categories include Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, Masters, Masters Female, and Masters Co-ed (Masters categories require members age 40+). Every team must maintain an average pace of 11:00 minutes per mile or faster. The event is rain-or-shine and the race director may alter the course for safety or restrictions.
Packet pickup
Packet pickup and welcome receptions are scheduled at Southernside Brewing Company in Greenville (April 9), Asheville Sports Club in Asheville (April 10), and at the starting line (April 11).
