Event Information

The Ville to Ville Relay is a team running event from Asheville, North Carolina, to Greenville, South Carolina. The total distance is 72 miles. Teams consist of 3 to 6 runners who split the course into 12 legs, each ranging from 3 to 9 miles.

The 9th annual event is scheduled for April 11, 2026. The start is in Asheville, NC. Teams are expected to finish at Hampton Station in Greenville, SC later the same day. The finish line celebration includes music, food, and craft brews. Each team must provide its own race vehicle to transport runners between designated transition areas.

There are several team categories:

  • Open Co-ed (requires at least 2 females)
  • Open (all-male team or all males plus 1 female)
  • Open Female (all females)
  • Masters (all members 40 or older)
  • Masters Female (all females, all members 40+)
  • Masters Co-ed (minimum of 2 females, all members 40+)

All runners must be at least 21 years old. There is a required team pace of 11:00 minutes per mile or less. This average pace is necessary to complete the relay in one day. Team rosters and final pace estimates must be finalized by early March 2026. Packet pickup events are held in Greenville and Asheville in the days before the event.
