Ville to Ville Relay
The Ville to Ville Relay is a team running relay from Asheville, NC, to Greenville, SC covering 72.56 miles. The course travels from the peaks to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, passes local craft breweries, and goes through several southern towns. The event date is April 10, 2027.
Each team consists of three to six runners who split the course into 12 legs, with individual legs ranging from 3 to 9 miles. Teams must provide a vehicle to drop off and pick up runners at designated transition areas. To complete the relay in one day, teams are expected to maintain a pace of 11 minutes per mile or faster as a group. Each member will estimate a 10K pace when joining a team; those estimates and past performances are used to determine team pace.
Registration requires a $305 deposit at initial signup. The full team fee is $780 per team, which is $130 per person; a remaining balance of $475 is due by January 15, 2027. A 5.5% processing fee applies to online payments. Team rosters should be finalized by March 5, 2027. The event operates rain or shine; the race director may change the course or event due to weather, road closures, or state restrictions.
Packet pickup and welcome receptions are scheduled for April 8 at Southernside Brewing Company in Greenville and April 9 at Asheville Sports Club in Asheville. All runners must be 21 or older to participate. Team categories include Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, Masters, Masters Female, and Masters Co-ed.
