WisePies Pizza Run - 6th Annual
The sixth annual WisePies Pizza Run takes place at Aperture Park at Mesa del Sol in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 17, 2026. The event supports Make-A-Wish New Mexico and Girls on the Run Rio Grande and features community-focused activities and a Walk of Fame theme that highlights WishKids and Girls on the Run participants. Races are timed.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile Fun Run or Walk: family-friendly route through playscapes and green spaces in Mesa del Sol.
- 5K Timed Run: flat road route with views of the five surrounding mountain ranges.
- 10K Challenge: timed course with rolling hills and notable stone snake landmarks.
Registration opens September 1, 2025, and closes March 16, 2026. An early bird discount is available through March 15, 2026. Registration fees in the source material are listed per event.
Course notes and participant guidance vary by distance: the 1-mile event welcomes families and animals, while the 5K and 10K are timed and small children or animals are not encouraged. For safety, no bikes, skateboards, scooters, or motorized transportation are allowed during the runs.
All participants receive fresh hot WisePies pizza, pasta and pizza bites, post-run refreshments and entertainment, an event shirt or tank top, an official running bib, a goodie bag, a route guide, access to family-friendly activities, and entry into top-time prize competitions.
