6th Annual WisePies Pizza Run
The WisePies Pizza Run is a community event held at Aperture Park at Mesa Del Sol in Albuquerque. This year's edition features a theme titled Walk of Fame, designed to honor local individuals who have a positive influence on the community and to celebrate the courage of children supported by partner organizations. The event supports Make-A-Wish New Mexico and Girls on the Run - Rio Grande.
Participants can choose from several timed distance options:
- 10k Challenge
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run or Walk
In addition to the in-person races, virtual participation is available. All registered runners receive an official running bib, a route guide, a goodie bag, and an exclusive event T-shirt or tank top. The event includes access to a specialized Walk of Fame experience along the course, highlighting the stories of children from the supported charities.
Following the races, the event provides various refreshments including hot pizza, pasta, and pizza bites. The finish area also features entertainment and family-friendly activities. Competitions are held for those achieving top times in their respective categories. Same-day registration is available on the morning of the event.
