Wisconsin Brain Tumor Walk & Race
The Wisconsin Brain Tumor Walk & Race takes place on July 11, 2026 at Warner Park in Madison, Wisconsin. The event brings together the local brain tumor community to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of brain tumor patients and their families.
The main event is a 5K walk or run with participants able to register as timed runners or walk at their own pace. The program includes an opening ceremony, a remembrance ceremony, and a kids fun run for children under 12. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome and leashed pets are allowed. Organizers plan additional activities for children.
Registration is offered in multiple categories with set fees for adult and youth walkers and runners, a volunteer option, and a free virtual participation option. Event t-shirts are provided to registrants who register prior to June 1, 2026; t-shirts are not guaranteed for later registrants. Virtual participants who raise at least $75 by June 1, 2026 will have shirts mailed to them. There is a June 1 deadline to include a loved one’s name on the back of the event t-shirt.
The event began in 2013 as a local Madison 5K to honor a loved one. Over time it has expanded across the state and was renamed to reflect broader Wisconsin community support, having raised more than $428,000 and attracting thousands of participants.
