Madison Turkey Trot - Madison, WI
The Madison Turkey Trot is a chip-timed community run held in Madison, Wisconsin on November 26, 2026, with in-person and virtual participation options. The event is centered on a 5K course and includes a Kids Dash; virtual participants can submit results after race day and may receive mailed packets and gear.
Highlights include Greenbush Bakery donuts at the finish line and a commemorative finisher medal. Participants receive runner’s choice event gear with an option between a classic t-shirt or a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Packet mailing is available for a fee of $14.99 per participant; on-site packet pickup and pre-event pickup options are also provided.
The event supports United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Dane County. Results from this race are aggregated into the nationwide Thankful Turkey leaderboard. Awards are given to the top three male and female participants in each age group and overall; age groups span from 10 and under through 70 plus. A Kids Dash finisher award is given to all child participants.
Practical notes: start and finish are at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, Madison WI 53713. Free parking is available at the Alliant Energy Center via Rimrock Road; Olin Park parking is not permitted. Water is provided at all water stations. There is no gear check.
