Event Overview
The Run Santa Run 5K takes place in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, December 12, 2026. This holiday themed event encourages participants to dress in costumes and travel through the city streets. The registration includes a participant shirt featuring all three event characters, a specific character hat, and accessories based on the chosen category.

Course Details and Features
The event is untimed, though the first 25 runners to finish ahead of the Grinch character receive a prize from Ian's Pizza. The course includes interactive aid stations offering chocolate kisses, cookies, and peppermint Bundtinis. At the finish line, hot cocoa is provided for all participants. Free digital race photos are captured along the route by Focal Flame Photography.
Post-Race Activities
Following the 5K, a celebration is held at the North Pole Post-Race Party at Whiskey Jack's Saloon. This gathering includes music and drink specials. Participants with a drink ticket on their bib receive one beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing. The event is open to all ages, with reduced registration pricing for children aged 12 and under.
