Run Santa Run Madison 5K
Run Santa Run Madison is an untimed 5K event on December 12, 2026, held in downtown Madison at 825 State Street, Madison, WI 53703. The event offers three character options: Santa, Elf, or Penguin, and participants select a character before the event.
Participants receive a shirt with youth sizes available, a character hat and accessories, and free digital race photos. The course includes sweet treats such as chocolate kisses and mistletoe, Festival Foods cookies, and Nothing Bundt Cakes peppermint Bundtinis. Finish line hot cocoa is provided by Caribou Coffee. The first 25 runners who beat the Grinch receive a free slice of Ian’s Pizza.
A post-race party takes place at Whiskey Jack’s Saloon and features a complimentary beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing with a drink ticket on the bib, holiday drink specials, and music. The event lists a standard entry fee of $30 and a reduced fee of $20 for ages 0 to 12; the price increases after July 31, 2026. Run Santa Run Madison is presented by Run Santa Run 5K and includes interactive aid stations and a festive atmosphere with seasonal elements and character-themed items.
