Event details
Run Santa Run 5K takes place on December 13, 2025, in Madison, WI 53703 US. The event features participants running or walking a 5K course while dressed as one of three characters: Santa, Elf, or Polar Bear. For 2025 the Santa and Elf character spots are sold out; Polar Bear entries remain available. Registration for the event closes on December 13, 2025. The Polar Bear entry price is $50, with a reduced price of $35 for ages 0-12.
Race features and course
The event is staged in downtown Madison. The organizer describes themed elements along the course, including interactive aid stations, festive treats, and a special visit from Santa. The event also includes a themed element described as a "race to stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas."
Included items and post-race
Registered participants receive a character long sleeve shirt (youth sizes available), a character hat, and accessories. The event provides free digital race photos. Sweet treats are offered along the course, and finish line hot cocoa is provided by Caribou Coffee. A post-race party is planned at Whiskey Jack’s Saloon; participants receive a drink ticket on their bib for a complimentary beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing and there will be holiday drink specials and music.
