Harrison Drive
Harrison Drive is one of four midweek races in the Wirral Multi-Terrain League held each September at The Derby Pool, Bay View Drive, Wallasey, CH45 3QS, United Kingdom. The event takes place on mixed underfoot terrain including sand, rocks, mud and hills.
Race distances and categories include:
- Senior races: 6.5 km to 8 km
- Junior races: approx 2 miles
Entry options include single-race and series entries. Typical entry fees listed are £6 per senior entry per race and £2 per junior entry, with series options shown at £21 for all four senior races and £8 for all four junior races. Entries and full results are published via Nifty Entries.
Eligibility and competition rules: the league is open to First Claim members of UK Athletics affiliated clubs; Second Claim athletes may participate if their First Claim club does not take part. Runners should wear recognised club colours. Minimum age for the senior event is 15 on the night of the first race; junior events are for ages 11 and over as defined for U15 races.
Safety and awards: competitors should be able to complete the course in under one hour. A race director may impose a cut-off on two-lap races, requiring completion after the first lap for safety. Series trophies and awards are based on best three out of four races, with team scoring and age-category awards applied according to published league rules.
