About the race
Winter Wander Challenge Day 2 2027 is a lap-based timed running and walking event held on Sunday 12 December 2027 near Capel Lane, Littleham, Exmouth EX8 2QZ (what3words ///miss.race.open). The course follows a scenic route on an old disused train line, is accurately measured, classified as Road, and is run entirely on tarmac.
The event uses a Turn Up Get Going system that allows participants to start within the event's permitted entry window and complete as many laps as they can within the overall time limit. Each lap is 5.3 km out and back. The format is an eight hour timed event, on an undulating road and pavement route.
Entrant limits and eligibility are stated: maximum 75 entrants and minimum age 18 years. Entries close 11/12/2027. A permit is recorded as ARC.
Finishers who complete at least one lap within the permitted time are recorded as finishers and are eligible to collect a medal; the organiser notes a mix of spare medals will be used for this event and that specific medal requests may be handled directly by the organiser.
