About the race
The Winter Wander Challenge Day 1 is an 8-hour timed road event organised by Running Events Devon near Capel Lane, Littleham, Exmouth EX8 2QZ. The course is an accurately measured, out-and-back lap of 5.3 km on an old disused train line and is run entirely on tarmac. The route is described as undulating and is classified as Road.
The event operates a "TUGG" (Turn Up Get Going) system that allows flexible start times within a permitted entry window; all participants must complete their final lap by the event cutoff. Runners and walkers may complete as many laps as they can within the timed period; completing at least one lap within the permitted time classifies a participant as a finisher and entitles them to a medal. Medals for the event will be a mix of spare designs; requests for specific medals can be made to the organiser.
