The Drogo 10

The Drogo 10 is a ten mile cross-country race around Castle Drogo, Drewsteignton, near Exeter (EX6 6PB). The course is designated BM with a distance of 10 miles (16 km) and 1760 ft (535 m) of climb. The route runs over hilly, muddy terrain and includes the section known as Hunter's Path, with views across the Teign valley. Signage will mark significant junctions and National Trust Rangers will be stationed at strategic points.

Water will be available at Fingle Bridge (about 3.3 and 8.4 miles) and at the finish. The event is run under FRA rules and principles (Licence 2026-10150) and will be held as a CUPLESS event. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall, plus age category winners.

Practical notes: registration is handled on the day outside the castle and numbers are collected at the venue. Car parking is in the National Trust car parks at Castle Drogo at standard charges (free to NT members); parking on site is limited. Runners should note that dogs and headphones are not allowed and that foot baths may be used to clean shoes to reduce the risk of tree-related virus transmission.

Entries open 1 May 2026 and close 10 November 2026. Minimum age is 18. Entry fees are £20 (rising to £25 from 10/11/2026). Transfers are permitted only via the SiEntries "Sell" feature; refunds or deferrals are not permitted. Half of each entry fee will be donated to the National Trust.
