Overview
The Drogo 10 is a multi-terrain fell race, categorised as FRA BM and run under FRA regulations. It takes place at Castle Drogo on the National Trust estate. The course distance is approximately 10 miles (16 km) with a total climb of around 1760 ft (535 m). The event is capped at 550 entries.
Course Details
The race starts and finishes on the main driveway to Castle Drogo, around 300 metres from the visitor centre. The route includes a variety of terrains: driveway, grass, woods, tracks, and paths. It features steep descents, flat sections along the river Teign, and significant hills. Two notable climbs include a half-mile hill at the 3.5-mile point and the "Hunters’ Path" hill later in the race. A bottle-neck can occur at a bridge and a wall crossing. The course passes through the Teign Valley.

Logistics
Entries are managed via SiEntries. Entries cannot be deferred or refunded but can be transferred at no cost using the "Substitute" function. Awards are presented for the first, second, and third female and male runners overall, and for the first female and male in age categories. Long-sleeved technical t-shirts can be purchased with entry for an extra cost. Half of each entry fee goes to the National Trust to support the maintenance of the Castle Drogo estate.
Recommendations
Multi-terrain trainers with good grip are recommended due to potentially wet and muddy conditions, though parts of the course along the river are hard and stony. Bringing a lightweight running jacket and dry clothes for after the race is advised. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
