The Drogo 10
The Drogo 10 is a cross-country race run around Castle Drogo, Drewsteignton near Exeter. The course is 10 miles (16 km), designated BM, with 1760 ft (535 m) of climb. The route includes hilly, muddy terrain, notable views across the Teign valley, and the steep Hunter's Path hill.
The event is organised by South West Road Runners and is held under FRA rules and principles (Licence 2026-10150). There will be signage at significant route junctions and National Trust rangers stationed at strategic points around the course. The race will be cupless; water is provided at Fingle Bridge (3.3 and 8.4 miles) and at the finish.
Entry details include a minimum age of 18, an entry fee of £20 rising to £25 from 10/11/2026, and optional long-sleeved technical "Drogo 10" t-shirts available for £12 each; the shirts are made from 100% recycled polyester and are collected on the day. Half of each entry fee will be donated to the National Trust for the upkeep of Castle Drogo.
Parking is in National Trust car parks at standard charges, free to National Trust members. Entries may be transferred within SiEntries using the Sell feature; refunds or deferrals are not permitted. No dogs or headphones are allowed. Foot baths to clean shoes may be required to limit tree related virus transmission.
