Scarborough Rock : event overview
Scarborough Rock is a walking and running event held on 10 January 2026. The event starts and finishes at Scalby Parish Hall, Scalby Road, Scalby YO13 0RA. The organizer is LDWA - East Yorkshire. Distances offered are:

The route takes in the coast through Scarborough, Oliver's Mount, moorland, Hackness, Burniston and Scalby. The minimum age for participation is 17 or older. The published entry fee is £15. The event is listed as full and no new entries can be made; there are 350 participants entered and 17 on the waiting list.
Event logistics and rules
Food and drink are provided at all checkpoints. A badge, certificate and a meal are provided at the finish. Dogs are allowed on the event but must be kept on a short lead at all times. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only. Participants are asked to follow marshals' directions for parking. Withdrawals made before 3 January 2026 receive a refund of the entry fee; withdrawals after that date forfeit the fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
