Event Overview
The Commondale Clart is a fell race held in the North York Moors region of England. The event is classified as a BS category race according to fell running standards. The route covers a total distance of 8.3 km (5.2 miles) and involves a total ascent of 220 meters (722 feet).
The race center is located at the Commondale Village Hall. Participants start the course just outside this venue. This competition is a senior race and serves as a component of the Dave Parry Winter series. The event is organized by the Esk Valley Fell Club and supported by local sponsorship.
Participant Information
Attendance is restricted to individuals aged 18 or older. Registration is handled exclusively on the day of the event at the venue, as there is no pre-entry system available. A universal entry form is used for the registration process. There are different entry fees for members and non-members.
Team competitions are integrated into the race format. Mens teams consist of four runners, while womens teams are composed of three runners. The course requires specific fell running skills, denoted by the markers PM (Point Marked), LK (Local Knowledge), and NS (Navigation Skills).
