Event overview
Valentine's Dash takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Kentwood, MI 49512. The event includes a 5K race held near the Kentwood Library on Breton Rd SE. The listed entry price is $30, with a price increase after January 9, 2026. A special pricing option allows couples to save $5 each.
Course and awards
The course uses a combination of trails, roads and paved pathways. The full route is available on Plotaroute. Kids and families are welcome. The fastest runners will receive awards; an awards ceremony is scheduled in the Kentwood Library Community Room immediately after the race. Awards can be picked up the week after the event at the Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department if not claimed at the ceremony.
Packet pickup, shirts and extras
Registered participants receive a long sleeve shirt, a participation medal and additional items in their packet. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations completed after January 16, 2026. Early packet pickup is available at the Kentwood Activities Center on February 5 and February 6, and on race day at the Kentwood Library beginning before the race. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to wear Valentine-themed costumes.
Community benefit and volunteering
All proceeds support the Little Free Pantry, which provides food and hygiene products to community members. Racers who bring an item to donate are entered into a drawing for one free race entry for a 2025 race. Volunteers are requested to help with event safety on the course.
