Event
The 2026 Winter Rock Creek 5k & 10k is scheduled for February 1, 2026, at Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC. The event includes a virtual race option. Points from these races count toward the organizer’s Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Winter Series. The event is presented in partnership with the charity Operation Turbo. Walkers and strollers are welcome.

The route is on paved paths and is described as mostly flat with one considerable hill. The 5k is an out-and-back course; the 10k consists of two laps. The event is chip timed. Registered finishers receive a medal and a technical (Drifit) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for entries made before the organizer’s stated deadline. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. A QR code at the race will provide immediate access to live results. Water stations are planned at approximately mile markers 0.6 and 2.5 on the 5k, and at approximately 0.6, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7, and 5.6 on the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center. Packet pickup is available at the event; there will be no on-site race registration.
