Event
The Winter Rock Creek event on February 1, 2026 takes place at Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC. The event offers the following race distances:
- 5k out-and-back on a paved route
- 10k two laps on the same paved route
The course is mostly flat with one considerable hill. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available. Race entries earn points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. The event partners with Operation Turbo.
Logistics and race services
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants before January 21; extra shirts are available after that on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no on-site race registration; packet pickup is available at the event. Water stations: five along the 10k (approx. miles 0.6, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7, 5.6) and two on the 5k (approx. miles 0.6 and 2.5); Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center. Parking is at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center, 5220 16th St NW; GPS pin 38.954573, -77.039066. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in listed age categories; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
