Winter Duathlon Series - Tauranga
The Winter Duathlon Series event at BayPark arena in Tauranga is scheduled for July 26, 2026. The event uses a run-bike-run format with separate long, short and kids courses. Registration is held on the day and entries are taken at the Triathlon Tauranga trailer. Payment on race day is by cash or bank transfer only.
Course formats are lap-based. The long and short adult/youth courses use a 500 m running lap and a 1.6 km bike lap that contains multiple turns and straights. The kids course uses shorter running and bike laps. Race briefing is mandatory before each race. Helmets must be worn for the bike section, bikes must have a seat and not be electric, upper torsos should be covered, and covered shoes are required.
Prizegiving includes spot prizes drawn at the event; recipients must be present to receive prizes. There are no age-group merit prizes. The event is supported by local sponsors including Smiths Sports Shoes and community partners. Maps and detailed course diagrams are provided for the BayPark long, short and kids courses.
