About the race
The Waitoa Mount Festival Half Marathon is part of the Fulton Hogan Mount Festival of Multisport and takes place on 23 January 2027 around Mount Maunganui. The event offers three measured running options on a scenic coastal course that passes notable local scenery.

The 21.1 km race requires participants to be at least 16 years old on event day and awards event medals to the top three in each ten year age group. The 10.5 km has supervision requirements for young entrants: children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum two children per adult). The 5 km has no age restrictions, though children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum two children per adult).
Entry is available for individuals with tiered pricing through opening specials, early bird, standard and onsite rates; prices listed include a Race Roster booking fee. Finishers who complete their race within the cut off time receive a finishers medal and can download finishers certificates after the race. Post-race amenities include an Athlete Recovery Lounge (access purchasable), hydration and nutrition offerings, and optional massage. Prize money is awarded for first place in the 21 km race.
