Independence Day Run
The Independence Day Run is a running event scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event takes place on the beach path in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, California. The official address is 5400 E. Ocean Blvd.
Participants can register for one of four distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The course is an out-and-back route on the beach path, described as easy to follow. For the half marathon, there is a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes. An early start is available by request. The aid station at the start/finish turn-around provides water, Gatorade, and Gu gels.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, and an assortment of snacks. Bib pick-up is from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM on race day.
Pricing varies by registration period. Early bird pricing is available one month before the race. Race day registration is available for cash, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. Group discounts are offered for five or more people. Transfers to a later date or another participant are possible by request, but there is a no refund policy. Parking is free in the residential area, with a paid beach lot also available.
