SoCal's Pirate's 5K/10K Run/Walk : Long Beach Shoreline Park
This is a pirate-themed running event held at Long Beach Shoreline Park with multiple timed and untimed distances on a paved course with ocean views. The course is described as flat, wide, and paved, and participants are asked to keep to the right to accommodate strollers, walkers, and other public path users. Pets on leash and strollers are permitted; strollers are used at the participant's own risk.

Registered participants receive a custom pirate-themed finisher medal, event T-shirt, and race bib; only participants with visible bibs receive the finisher medal. Chip timing is provided by an external timing company. Awards include top three overall male and female trophies and age-division awards given in five-year spans up to 85 and over. Additional contest awards are presented for best dressed pirate-themed outfits.
Event amenities and on-site features include themed music, a pirate performer, a selfie booth, vendor area, and packet pickup available in Long Beach prior to race day. Parking is available at the parking structure near the Aquarium of the Pacific. The event notes that the public uses the path and that cyclists and other users may be present.
