Windham Center 5K In Memory of Elliot P. Fogg (1929-1999)
The Windham Center 5K is a 5-kilometre run and walk scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Windham Town Hall, corner of School Road and Windham Center Road, 8 School Rd, Windham, ME 04062. Walkers are welcome.
The event is held in memory of Elliot P. Fogg, a World War II veteran, horse racer, and longtime custodian at Windham High School from March 1974 until June 1999. A donation will be made to the American Lung Association of Maine.
Entry fees vary by registration period: $26 Wicked Early Bird pre-registration through October 17 (Elliot's birthday), $29 Early Bird through May 1, $34 thereafter, and $39 for race day registration. Shirts are guaranteed through June 15 and then available as supplies last. Corsetti's Windham provides a free dinner.
Awards include cash prizes for overall male and female winners, ten-year age category awards from 14 and under through 80 and over, and recognitions for top running club, corporate team, and open team of four or more members.
There are no refunds. If catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or other extreme events prevent the in-person race, organizers will attempt to hold the event on an alternate date or convert it to a virtual format where participants run the course and submit results.
