Robert Burns 10K
Robert Burns 10K is a community road race in Westbrook, ME on Sunday, January 24, 2027. It is the 12th running of the event. The race distance is 10 km and all registrants receive a race shirt.
The idea for the event began in informal conversations over food, wine and beer on a rooftop patio. Organizers who had long competed in races decided to learn how to put on and manage their own event. They intended the race to be distinctive, to support a local cause, and to reflect a personal connection to Scottish heritage; Robert Burns was chosen as the event’s thematic inspiration.
Proceeds from the Robert Burns 10K benefit Westbrook High School’s Compass Academy. COMPASS - Creating Opportunities through Multiple Pathways for Academic and Social Success - serves students who do not fit within a traditional high school class structure by offering additional engagement and support.
Event information and registration are managed by the organizers and available through the event registration materials. All factual details above are derived from the event description provided by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
