Winchester Trail Run
The Winchester Trail Run is an off-road event held around Farley Mount in the Hampshire countryside, with the event base at Sparsholt College. The route follows tracks, bridleways, and footpaths through tree-lined sections and open countryside, offering several viewpoints. The longer route includes a climb up to Farley Mount.
The course is described as rolling rather than hilly and uses clear race signage with pink arrows and pink tape. Hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signs. The event operates chip timing and provides on-course water stations, first aid cover, and friendly marshals.
Entries include a finisher medal, a cool drink, finisher goodies, and a personalised certificate. The venue has plentiful hard-standing parking. The event is plastic free at water stations, so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Two route lengths are available:
- 21.4 km Half Marathon
- 12.1 km Trail Run
The event notes participant support services such as registration on arrival, bib collection, and clearly displayed bib numbers. Spectators are welcome and add to the atmosphere. Signage, on-course refreshments, and safety measures are provided to guide runners around the measured routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
