Winchester Trail Run - Hampshire
The Winchester Trail Run returns for its sixth year and had over 1,000 participants in the previous edition. The event is organised by Run Rebel and takes place in the Hampshire countryside just outside Winchester, on tracks, bridleways, and footpaths around the local landmark Farley Mount.
The event features a visually varied route that is rolling rather than hilly. Runners pass tree-lined sections and enjoy vistas over the Hampshire countryside. One route includes a short climb up to Farley Mount and is described as the Epic route.
Runners start from Sparsholt College, which offers plentiful hard-standing parking. There are two route lengths to choose from:
- Half marathon
- Epic route with a climb to Farley’s Mount
The event encourages new runners to take part. On completion, participants receive a high-quality medal, a cool drink, and a selection of finisher goodies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
