Salisbury Plain Winter Edition
The Salisbury Plain Winter Edition is a winter trail running event on 5 December 2026 at Old Fowler Barracks, Ludgershall road, Ludgershall, SP11 9RR. The course runs across the Salisbury Plain training area.
The route uses established footpaths, byways and hard-packed tracks and includes sustained climbs, exposed sections and wide open countryside. December weather can include wind, rain, mud and cold, and conditions may make the course considerably harder.
The route will be fully marked ahead of race day, with marshals at key road crossings. Trail shoes are strongly recommended. Well stocked aid stations provide water, juice, cola and a mix of sweet and savoury foods along the route. An experienced medical and safety team will support the event.
