The Winchester Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 20th September 2026 and is based in Winchester City Centre outside the Guildhall. The course starts and finishes in the centre of Winchester and follows a scenic route through surrounding countryside.

Runners pass a number of local landmarks on the route, including St Catherine's Hill, Winchester Cathedral and King Alfred the Great. The route includes sections through historic Winchester, quiet rural roads and the village of Hursley. The course is described as hilly in participant feedback.

Additional event options and participant rules include a kids fun run around the cathedral grounds and a virtual half marathon. The half marathon entry is open to entrants aged 17 and over on 20/09/2026. Entry prices range from £8.00 to £38.00 and there is a lower cost no medal entry option.

Volunteer marshals can register to help at the event and receive a credit voucher; community groups can earn a £200 donation for participating in marshalling. Organisers publish road closure information for the event day and provide event photography after the race.
