Event details
The Winchester Half Marathon is scheduled for 20 September 2026 in Winchester City Centre, organised by Challenging Events Ltd. The course starts and finishes outside the Guildhall and runs through countryside that passes landmarks such as St Catherine's Hill, Winchester Cathedral and a route that includes the village of Hursley and a reference to King Alfred the Great. Road closures will be in place for the event and organisers provide information to help people move around Winchester on the event day. Marshalling is organised for the event; marshals receive a credit voucher and community groups can earn a £200 donation. There is no official event parking; a nearby multi-storey car park is a five minute walk from the start and is free on Sundays.
