Wimbleball Lake Trail Races
Wimbleball Lake Trail Races take place on 29 August 2026 at Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor. The event offers trail running and canicross options on off-road terrain with lake views.
Race distances and options:
- 10K trail run, one 10K lap
- 10K canicross, one 10K lap
- 5K trail run, one 5K lap
- 5K canicross, one 5K lap
The 10K course closely follows the triathlon course used on the following day. The 5K starts and finishes the same way as the 10K but turns earlier. Routes feature off-road terrain around the lake.
Facilities and services include finishers medals for all, podium prizes, professional RFID chip timing, professional event photos (social resolution free with organiser logo; hi-res downloads available for a charge), showers, toilets, public liability insurance, and on-site parking. Camping is available at Wimbleball Lake for an additional charge.
Age requirements apply by the day of the race: competitors must be at least 15 for the 10K run, 16 for 10K canicross, 12 for the 5K run, and 16 for 5K canicross. A one prize per person policy is in place for category awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
