Event
Active South West Ltd is organising the Taunton Half Marathon & Kids Kilometre Fun Run on 1 March 2026 in Taunton town centre. The race continues a nearly 40-year local tradition under new race directors. The organisers, who have a background in trail events, intend to combine a community atmosphere with established road-race organisation.

Race headquarters, Start and Finish will be based in the town centre, with all finishers running along North Street with the Market House in view. The Kids Kilometre will start shortly after the main race and will use the same Start/Finish area. The half marathon has a cut-off of four hours. All runners in both events will receive a special 40th edition medal after finishing.
The event will be permitted by England Athletics via the Run Events programme and results will be posted on the Power of 10 portal. The event is governed by UK Athletics rules for road races; participants must follow those rules. The use of in-ear or covered-ear headphones is not allowed; bone-conducting headphones are permitted in line with UKA Rule T55. Public car parks around the town are suggested for arrivals.
