Event overview
The Taunton Half Marathon & Kids Kilometre Fun Run is organised by Active South West and scheduled for 1 March 2026 in Taunton Town Centre. The race headquarters, start and finish will be in the town centre, with all runners finishing along North Street with the Market House in view. The town centre will be closed to traffic for runner and spectator safety. The event marks the 40th edition and all finishers in both races will receive a special 40th edition medal.

The organisers intend to continue the event’s local legacy while bringing elements of community-focused trail events into the road race format. The Kids Kilometre will start shortly after the main race and will use the same start and finish locations. The half marathon has a four-hour cut-off. Entry rules specify the half marathon is open to entrants aged 17 and over on the event date, and the Kids Kilometre is open to entrants aged 8 to 17 on the event date. Published entry prices range from £7.50 to £39.50. The event will be permitted via England Athletics Run Events, results will be posted on the Power of 10 portal, and the race is governed by UK Athletics rules.
