Wilmslow Spring Triathlon
Wilmslow Spring Triathlon takes place at Wilmslow Leisure Centre, Rectory Fields, Wilmslow SK9 1BU. The swim leg is held in a heated 25 m indoor pool with seeded wave starts to group swimmers by pace. The event includes road cycling on a marshalled route through Ashley and Mobberley and a mostly flat run route alongside the River Bollin.
The event offers multiple race formats and relay teams are permitted to split the swim, bike and run between two or three participants. The event is organised by OP Events and is held under British Triathlon Federation rules; active BTF members must present their membership card at registration and non-members will have an £8 BTF day licence added for insurance.
Distances
- Sprint Triathlon: 400 m swim, 24.2 km bike, 6.3 km run
- Double Sprint Triathlon: 800 m swim, 42.0 km bike, 12.3 km run
Entries include an official finisher medal and goody bag, chip-timed live results managed by StuWeb, free high-resolution race photos, on-course hydration and medical support, and spectator facilities and refreshments at the leisure centre.
