Wilmslow Spring Triathlon
The Wilmslow Spring Triathlon on Sunday 25th April 2027 is a pool‑based multisport event held at Wilmslow Leisure Centre, Station Rd, Rectory Fields, Wilmslow SK9 1BU. It offers a variety of race formats including a Sprint, a Double Sprint Challenge, Aqua Bike (swim and bike), Aquathlon (swim and run) and Relay teams of one or two additional participants.
Disciplines and distances:
- Swim: 400 m or 800 m in the pool.
- Bike: 24.2 km (Sprint) or 48.4 km (Double Sprint) on an undulating suburban and open‑road course.
- Run: 6.3 km (Sprint) or 12.6 km (Double Sprint) on mixed terrain.
The bike route includes some short climbs and returns to the leisure centre for transition to the run. The run course is mixed terrain with gentle gradients suitable for standard running shoes. As the swim is pool based, a wetsuit is not required.
Participants must hold a race licence; single use Race Passes are available when registering or competitors may join as an annual member. Race packs include a timing chip to be worn around the left ankle. Transition is treated as the fourth discipline and the event provides practical advice on kit layout, locating racking spots and efficient transitions.
