WILMA Dash
The WILMA Dash is an all-female 5K event presented by WILMA Magazine in Wilmington, North Carolina. The main in-person event takes place at the Wilmington Convention Center in downtown Wilmington on May 7, 2026, with a virtual 5K option available through May 9, 2026. The course starts inside the Convention Center and passes through historic downtown Wilmington and the riverfront; it is stroller-friendly.
Distances offered:
- 5K - timed in-person 5K for running or walking.
- 5K Virtual - run or walk anywhere and submit results by May 9, 2026.
The event includes a Health Fest at the start and finish inside the Convention Center Expo Hall. Entry to the Health Fest is included with WILMA Dash registration and features local health and wellness exhibitors, food, drinks, awards, and vendors. The Expo Hall is described as a 30,000 square foot space; suggested donations at the door support the Alzheimer’s Association, with different recommended amounts for adults and attendees under 21.
Awards are given for top overall female finishers, top female masters, and multiple female age groups, plus team awards for Most Spirited Team and Largest Team.
