Wildwood Canyon Trail Runs - Yucaipa, CA
This event is the second year of the Wildwood Canyon Trail Runs at Wildwood Canyon State Park (12241 Canyon Dr., Yucaipa, CA 92399). The main course is a 3.7 mile loop with almost 600 ft of vertical gain per loop.
Two event options are offered:
- 8 Hour race - complete as many loops as possible
- Wildwood Canyon 6K - same loop used in the 8 Hour race
For the 8 Hour race, runners have eight hours to complete as many loops as they can; the last loop must be started by the 7 hour 15 minute mark to count as a final loop. An aid station at the start and finish provides water, soda, electrolytes, watermelon, chips, Thunderbird Bars, and similar items; there is also a water station at the highest point of the course. Participants may bring any specific items they want.
Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on runners. An afterparty is scheduled at Hops and Spokes Brewery in Yucaipa (34324 Yucaipa Blvd, Suite A). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
