Wildwood Canyon Trail Run : Yucaipa, CA

The Wildwood Canyon Trail Run is the second edition of a trail event held at Wildwood Canyon State Park in Yucaipa, California, organized by Yucaipa Adventure Company. The main format is an 8 hour timed event on a 3.7 mile loop that includes almost 600 feet of vertical gain per loop. Participants have eight hours to complete as many laps as they can; the final lap must be started by the 7 hour 15 minute mark to count as a last lap.

The course passes through rugged canyons, meadows, and oak-studded hillsides. The loop features rolling climbs, smoother stretches, punchy short hills, and singletrack typical of Southern California trail terrain.

Support at the venue includes an aid station at the start/finish offering water, soda, electrolytes, watermelon, chips, and Thunderbird Bars, plus a water station at the highest point of the course. Multiple vendors will be onsite and a live Bluegrass band performs in the morning. Awards are presented at the start/finish area after the race, and an afterparty is held at Hops and Spokes Brewery in Yucaipa.
