The Wrath of Krampus: Last Person Standing
The Wrath of Krampus is a Last Person Standing event held in Yucaipa, CA on December 11, 2026, organized by Yucaipa Adventure Company. The race uses a repeating loop format in which runners continue laps until only one participant remains.
Each hour, on the hour, competitors must complete a 4.167 mile loop of unforgiving terrain and return to the start before the bell. Runners who do not finish the loop within the hour are removed from the race; those who stop running are also eliminated. The event emphasizes endurance across successive laps rather than a target distance or time.
The course runs in the foothills of Yucaipa and is run into darkness for part of the event; headlamps are described as part of the setting. At basecamp there is warmth, firelight, and informal encouragement for participants. Limited camping spots are available.
