Event Overview
The Wildstride Race Series offers a combination of trail running/hiking and bodyweight strength training. Participants choose between two distances: the Hikestrong 10k and the Hikestrong Half Marathon. The event format alternates between completing sets of strength exercises and completing loops on a trail.

Course and Format
The event takes place on a 2.2-mile trail loop in Williamsburg, Virginia. The trail features crushed rock surfaces, scenic views, some hills, and a few short, uneven sections. The format involves performing 50 repetitions of a bodyweight strength exercise (such as squats, lunges, or push-ups) before embarking on each running/hiking loop.
- The Half Marathon involves five exercise stations, one at the start of each of its loops.
- The 10k involves three exercise stations.
- Modifications for the strength exercises are available, and no equipment is required. Participants may optionally wear a weighted vest or rucksack.
- Participants can run or walk. The event is described as noncompetitive, with the focus on personal challenge.
Event Details
All finishers receive an award and an official time. The course is clearly marked. Light refreshments, including water and electrolytes, are provided. Qualified fitness professionals are present to assist with exercise form. Parking is included in the registration fee. T-shirts and merchandise are available for separate purchase.
