Course and conditions: The race uses a repeatable 2.5-mile loop of mostly grass and hard-packed dirt with gentle rollers and no technical sections. The loop layout gives frequent crew access and regular contact with volunteers. The Florida Panhandle is hot and humid at this time of year; participants are advised to plan for heat.
Logistics and services: There is centralized staging and easy crew access. Chip timing and live runner tracking will be provided by MCM timing and results. A fully stocked aid station sits just past the start/finish area and includes water, sports drink, a variety of foods (fruit, sandwiches, snacks, ramen, soda, coffee), salt tablets, ice for runners, and other basic supplies. Pacers are permitted after the race-specific halfway point or at sunset, whichever occurs earlier.
Lodging and facilities: The equestrian center offers RV parking and hookups; RV hookups are listed at $30 per night and include water and electricity. Showers are available on site. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and on race morning.
Awards and timing: Finishers receive distance-specific awards (belt buckle for 100 Miler, pint glass for 100K, medallion and coffee mug for 50 and 15 mile finishers). Overall winners in each distance receive mailed awards with finishing time and course record information when applicable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
