About the race
Wild Turkey Trot 3k presented by Orlando Health is scheduled for November 26, 2026, at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. The event includes an on-site 3 km race and a virtual 3 km option, and is organized by Smooth Running with proceeds benefiting Brevard Zoo. Participants follow a course through the Zoo that passes animal habitats and native plants. A water and Gatorade station is placed along the route and at the start and finish areas.
All finishers receive a turkey-themed medal and a commemorative running hat. Prizes are awarded to the top 10 overall male and female finishers and the top 10 male and female in the 11 years and under division. Additional participant information: registered in-person entrants receive 50% off Brevard Zoo admission on Thanksgiving weekend when showing their race bib at the Zoo’s main service window. Race shirts are available for purchase online prior to the event for $20 each.
A pre-race packet will be sent one week before the event; three in-person packet pickup opportunities will be offered with details included in that packet. The event has a one hour course cutoff from each runner’s start time. Entries are limited and online registration closes November 22, 2026; there are no refunds.
