Cocoa Beach Turkey Trot
The Cocoa Beach Turkey Trot is a road race held on Thanksgiving Day in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The event offers a course that winds through the residential area of Cocoa Isles. This race is open to both runners and walkers and includes a specific event for younger participants known as the Little Gobblers free fun runs.
Participants can choose from the following event formats:
- 5k Individual Run or Walk
- 5k Turkey Team (Group of 4)
- 5k Virtual Race
A unique registration category is the Turkey Team of four people. These groups are required to carry a 12 lb turkey, which is provided on race day, across the entire course. The turkey must stay with the team at all times, and all four members must cross the finish line together.
There is no registration available on the day of the race. All participants must preregister online or at the designated packet pickup location at the Cocoa Beach Recreation Center by the evening before the event. Those choosing the virtual option can complete the distance at a location of their choice and have the option to submit their times online to receive their shirt and medal by mail.
