Event details
The event is a chip-timed 5 km run/walk held on May 16, 2026 at Wild Mountain Winery, 16906 Wild Mountain Rd, Taylors Falls, MN 55084. Registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib and online results, and a pour of wine for eligible participants. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but does not include a wine glass or a pour of wine. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Walking is permitted. Dogs are not allowed on site.
Course, awards and partners
The course starts and finishes at the winery and uses a two-lap route that begins through the southern vineyards, continues on a cross-country path to the east, follows a dirt road north, then returns through the northern vineyard and scenic trails. The route includes some uneven areas and short, steep inclines. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10-year category: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age-group awards; awards are posted online and are available for pickup on race day. The event’s local charity partner is the Almelund Fire & Rescue Department, a volunteer department serving about 90 square miles and roughly 3,000 residents.
