Event Overview

The Wild Mountain Winery Wine Run 5k is an annual running and walking event held at Wild Mountain Winery in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. The venue is situated on one of the highest points in Chisago County, providing participants with views of the surrounding landscape and vineyards. The event offers two distances for participants:

  • 5k
  • 1.5 Mile

The course consists of a two-lap path that begins and finishes at the winery. The route travels through southern vineyards, transitions to a cross-country path, follows a dirt road, and returns through the northern vineyard via scenic trails. This terrain includes uneven ground and some short, steep inclines. Use of strollers is permitted but not recommended due to these course conditions.

Participant Information

This is a timed event with chip timing provided for the 5k distance. Results are posted online following the conclusion of the event. Participants can choose between two start times during the registration process. Registration includes several items: a cotton t-shirt, a portable and shatterproof wine glass, a finisher medal that functions as a wine stopper, and a pour of wine. Specialized awards are also provided for the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 1-9 to 80 and over.

Additional Features

The event is open to participants of all ages, with discounted registration available for those under 21. Wild Mountain Winery offers on-site food options after the event, including wood-fired pizzas and artisan loaves. Parking is located off-site at Wild Mountain Resort and Water Park, with a dedicated shuttle service running between the parking area and the winery. Dogs are permitted on the shuttle and at the event, provided they remain on a leash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
