Forest Lake Rotary Turkey Trot
The Rotary Club of Forest Lake hosts an annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The event includes two distances and benefits Rangers Supporting Rangers, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides food support to district students and families with financial needs. The Turkey Trot has raised over $14,190 for Rangers Supporting Rangers to date.

Check in takes place at the Forest Lake City Center (1408 Lake St S, Forest Lake, MN 55025). The run takes place on the Hardwood Creek Trail behind the building. Participants must check in prior to the race to receive a number bib and a Turkey Trot stocking cap.
Food donations are collected at registration for the Rangers Supporting Rangers backpack program. Requested items include cereal bars, individual cereals, pop tarts, oatmeal, canned fruit and vegetables, canned soups, individual meal cups, individual snack packs, jars of peanut butter, boxed meals such as macaroni and cheese, and other nonperishable grab-and-go items.
Runners, walkers, parents with strollers, and leashed dogs are welcome. Organizers note that dogs who do not do well with other dogs, large groups, children, or loud noise should be left at home. If conditions force a shutdown, the races will be changed to virtual events and race shirts and numbers will be available for pick up at the Forest Lake City Center; participants will be contacted via email.
