Wild Journeys - West Highland Way 2026 is a multi day ultra running challenge along the West Highland Way in Scotland, organised by Running Adventures. The event is offered to a small group and includes overnight bag transfer by van as part of the price.

The itinerary spans three main days of trail running. On day 1 participants meet in Milngavie and run approximately 34 miles | 54 km, passing small lochs and rivers, climbing Conic Hill with views of Loch Lomond, and following loch banks to the waterfall at Inversnaid. The first night is at the Inversnaid Bunkhouse.

Day 2 covers approximately 26 miles | 42 km from Inversnaid to Bridge of Orchy. The route moves away from Loch Lomond into glens, waterfalls and mountains, traversing the slopes of Beinn Odhar with Beinn Dorain visible, and stays overnight at the West Highland Way Sleeper.

The final day is approximately 36 miles | 58 km to Fort William. The route crosses a wild section of highland terrain, passes Buachaille Etive Mor and Glen Coe, ascends the Devil’s Staircase to the West Highland Way high point at 550 m with views towards the Mamores, then descends through forests with views of Ben Nevis to the finish in Fort William, where accommodation is in a former prison.
