Wild Journeys - West Highland Way (9–12 June 2026)
Running Adventures runs a three-day guided multi-day ultra along the West Highland Way in Scotland. The route totals about 96 miles (154 km) with approximately 4,312 m of elevation. The trip starts in Milngavie and finishes in Fort William. The listed price is £680 per person, with places secured by a £100 non-refundable deposit. Tickets for the event are currently sold out. Accommodation is mixed gender shared rooms and luggage transfers between stages are included. Snacks, most meals, travel to Milngavie and travel from Fort William are not included.
Route and daily distances
The itinerary moves along the West Highland Way with overnight stops in Inversnaid, Bridge of Orchy and Fort William. Notable route features named in the programme include Conic Hill, Loch Lomond, Inversnaid waterfall, Beinn Odhar, Beinn Dorain, Buachaille Etive Mor, Glen Coe, the Devil’s Staircase and views toward Ben Nevis.

Entry requirements and included services
The trip is described as physically demanding. Participants must sustain an average pace of 10 min/mile (6:15 min/km) for prolonged periods and must have completed a 31 miles | 50 km ultra within 6:30 hrs within six months of the event, with some exceptions for mountain races or longer ultras. The package includes guided runs by a qualified trail running coach and mountain leader, coaching advice, video and photos, and entry to one Running Adventures guided ultra run to assist preparation.
