Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race : Carron Valley Forestry
The event is a seven mile trail race held on 22 August 2026 within Carron Valley Forestry in Stirlingshire, located off the B818 Denny to Fintry road. The route follows an undulating loop that climbs toward Meikle Bin, then twists back down toward the Carron Reservoir to finish close to the main car park area. Trails are mainly hard packed landrover-type tracks with loose, larger stones on the first hill section.
Entry is limited to 200 runners. The race is chip timed and results are posted on the event website. Funds raised are shared between Alzheimer Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue Team. Entry fees are listed as £18 standard and £15 for qualifying members; withdrawals made before the race are eligible for a full refund, while entries that remain once the race is full are donated to the charities.
Practical details include car parking on site with charges of up to £4 depending on location (Duncarron fort car park is free), signposted registration near the forestry car park with the start approximately 20 m from registration, public toilets near the car park plus a portaloo beside the registration tent, and photographers positioned on course; entrants agree to event photo use.
