OUTrun by Glasgow FrontRunners
OUTrun is a five-mile road race organised by Glasgow FrontRunners that takes place in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, with the event scheduled for 22 August 2026. The course is officially measured and insured and combines a loop around Kelvingrove Park with an out-and-back section along the River Kelvin before a final park loop.
The event is open to anyone aged 18 and over. Transgender runners may compete in the gender category with which they identify, as the race is run independently of restrictive athletic rules. The race is classed as competitive while also serving a social and recreational purpose. Prizes of token value are awarded across senior and veteran categories for men, women, and non-binary runners, plus awards for the fastest FrontRunner finishers.
Entries include electronic chip timing with online results, a pre-race warm-up, a bag drop for a single bag, an on-course band and a bagpiper to the start, a finishers' OUTrun t-shirt where entry deadlines are met, and a selection of post-race refreshments such as water and a banana. A BSL interpreter will be present on stage during briefings, the warm-up, and the prize ceremony.
The event supports the charity Time for Inclusive Education. A post-race bake sale donates 100 percent of proceeds to the charity, and donations can also be added via race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
