Event overview
The Wild Blossom Wine Run is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held at Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery, 9030 S Hermitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60620. The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a route through Dan Ryan Woods; the organizer describes the course as flat with no hills. Logistics and rules
Packet pickup is available on race day beginning one hour before each scheduled start wave. The event uses 10-year age categories and awards custom age-group prizes to the top finishers in each category; awards must be picked up on race day. Minors may participate with a discounted registration but do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Parking is available in the forest preserve west of the winery at Dan Ryan Woods - 91st Street, with additional public parking recommended at the Beverly Hills 91st Metra Station when lots are full.
