Glenview Gobbler 5K Run/Walk and Dash
The Glenview Gobbler event is a Thanksgiving morning running program organized by the Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Men’s Club in partnership with the Grace Network. The main event begins and ends at Jackman Park in Glenview and follows the tree-lined streets of the Swainwood neighborhood on a primarily flat, paved course. Packet pickup is scheduled at Hickey Hall in the OLPH Parish Center on Monday, November 24, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Morning packet pickup will be at Jackman Park under the gazebo from 7:00 AM until 7:45 AM.
Distances and event formats include:
- 5K (Run/Walk)
- 50 yards (Kids Dash)
- 5K (Bib Only, late registration)
Registration details vary by event: the main 5K has an early registration period in mid July through the end of October with a listed fee, the kids dash opens in mid July with a separate fee and registration window, and a late bib-only 5K registration window is available closer to the event with a higher fee. The event supports the OLPH Men’s Club programs and Grace Network initiatives. The OLPH Men’s Club funds a range of parish and school programs, and Grace Network operates school-based care closets providing health and hygiene items in many Chicago-area schools.
