Wichita State Engineering 5K
The Wichita State Engineering 5K is the fifth annual 5-kilometre run/walk held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Wichita State Innovation Campus, located at 1800 Innovation Blvd, Wichita, KS 67260. The event is open to Wichita State University students, College of Engineering students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members and is organized around National Engineering Week.
The course is USTAF-certified and guides participants through the WSU Innovation Campus. Registered participants receive a shirt and a special edition race medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each category: WSU Students, Faculty/Staff, Community, and Alumni. An awards ceremony with snacks and water will take place after the race.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the College of Engineering to provide financial support for students. A refer-a-friend rewards program offers registration discounts when five friends register with a unique referral link: students receive a $10 discount; community members, alumni, and faculty/staff receive a $15 discount.
