Say Grace Thanksgiving Day 5K

The Say Grace Race is a signature fundraising event and an annual holiday tradition in Wichita, Kansas. The event serves as a primary fundraiser for the GraceMed Health Clinic to support medical services for underserved populations. Participants can choose to run, walk, or stroll through Midtown, one of the city's historic neighborhoods.

The event features a single main distance:

  • 5 km

The course is USATF certified and follows a route through local neighborhood streets. The race uses CHIP timing to record participant results. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Refreshments including fruit and water are provided on-site.

Awards are presented in several categories, including cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers. Specific prizes are also allocated for the first age-graded male and female masters finishers (over 40) and for setting a new course record. Age group awards are available for participants ranging from age 9 and under to 80 and over.

The race also features specific team recognition for groups with at least four members. These include awards for the largest team, the fastest team, the best-dressed team, and the most creative team name. Packet pick-up is organized during the days leading up to the event at the GraceMed Administration Building on North Broadway, with additional pick-up options available on the morning of the race at the clinic location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
