Say Grace Thanksgiving Day 5K
The Say Grace Race is GraceMed Health Clinic’s annual fundraising event and is described as Wichita’s largest local 5K. The event is a Thanksgiving tradition that takes participants through Midtown, a historic neighborhood in Wichita. The 16th edition is scheduled for November 26, 2026, and the race starts outside the GraceMed Helen Galloway Health Clinic at 1122 N. Topeka St., Wichita KS 67214.
Participant amenities include chip timing, a race t-shirt, a finisher medal, age group and overall awards, team awards, fruit, and water. Awards are given for overall and age group placement as well as special team categories.
Cash prizes are offered to the top three overall male and female finishers: $200 for first, $125 for second, and $75 for third. There is a cash prize of $100 for the first age graded male and female masters finishers over 40 and a $100 course record award. Top three male and female finishers are recognized in age groups ranging from 9 and under through 80 and over.
Team awards include Biggest Flock on the Block for the largest team, Fancy Feathers for best dressed team, Galloping Gobbler for the fastest team, and Whitty Wishbone for best team name. Teams must have a minimum of four members. Costume judging for Fancy Feathers takes place at the Helen Galloway Clinic.
Registration fees listed on the event page are $35 before November 1, $40 from November 1 to November 26, and $45 on race day, with a youth fee of $20 for ages 5 to 15. Registration options mentioned include online registration and pick up or mail submission of a registration form available at local running shops. Packet pick up is available at the GraceMed Administration Building in the days before the race and on race morning at the east side of the 1122 N. Topeka St. building.
